Much time ago in the downcast years
Amidst the native valleys
In the shrouds of Night being clad
The gigantic castle
In its strict grandeur stood for ages
With shining gold and diamonds
Its portal was decorated
Where ringing in its Throne Hall
The echoes of the world
And swarms of visions
were fluttering in there.
But evil Ghosts in dark attires
Swept high and low
through the land of Pride.
And purple horror -
the mark of Plague
Branded the merchant and the tramp.
The Court fell down silent
And stopped the festive gathering,
They saw the Mask of Death
With sticking the fangs of blood.
The horror's ruling everything:
All hearts are gripping with fear.
The Court are leaving the castle
Which is inhabited
By dark misfortunes.
A laughter is now heard,
The ominous laughter
Is following the Court
You sowing death around,
You sowing fear. That's the verdict -
All turned into dust.
There are sprouting
around the seeds of Death.
The struggle is now of no use
With the sickle in hands the Plague
Is cutting the Ear's of life.
The candle's flame
Is trembling in agony
The whole world will sink
In the sinister night.
The Scarlet flower
Will soon die away
The purple colours
Will paint the east
The guest wrapped
out in the shroud of night
With the striking of the ancient clock
Is completing his exchange:
Life for the secrets of Dreams
Life is up. But dreams remain.
The plague's installed on the Throne.
Only the dead hush prevails.
Only the emptiness is seen.
A bloody Down is burning wide
