We mourned over the ashes of fires -
The remains of our homes.
Our tears fell on the earth
Mixing with what's left of our brothers.
Givig our souls to grief,
We didn't see the ash strengthen the earth
That what we claimed as death
Gave birth to a new life.
Flowers and trees sprouted in places
Where once was devastation and death.
Life has conqured death.
Nature and the circle of life
Gave us this lesson.
There is still lots of sorrow in us
But we've planted the seed of hope
For it to sprout in our children
Similar to this grove.
We depart
Depart to give our lives to the War for Peace,
But we hope
That our seed won't let our children
Become like us.
We hope that in the place of our bed of honor
A grove will rise that will some day
Greet a new dawn.
