How can I be saved? This heart of flesh is hardening,
It’s petrified into a heart of stone.
O Burning Sacred Heart, O Heart so meek and humble,
Grant to me a heart just like your own.
O Burning Furnace of Charity,
Consume my flaws within your flames.
O Heart filled with love and sincerity,
Your Precious Blood runs through my veins.
I confess to You, O God of earth and altar,
that I have sinned through my own grievous fault,
in my thoughts and words, in what I’ve done and failed to do,
So many times that I have missed the mark.
My love’s a dying flame of ashes and embers,
It’s sure to fade away without a spark.
O Holy Wind of God, fan these flickers into flames,
And light the way out of this painful dark.
O Burning Furnace of Charity,
Consume my flaws within your flames.
O Fire of His Divine Mercy,
You burn away my guilt and shame.
In 2002, in a park known as Downsview,
A Blessed Man in white he spoke to me.
He cut right to my heart, tears were streaming down my face,
as he spoke the Truth I longed to hear.
We are not the sum,
the sum of our failures,
or the sum of human weaknesses.
We are the sum
of the Father’s love for us
blazing in the Heart of His Son.
XIV (from Via Crucis)
Wrapped in a shroud of silence your sacred Body without breath Swallowed by the stillness Our Lord was put to death
Where else can I go? You had the words of everlasting life But now You dwell in darkness And all I have is tears
My yoke is easy and My burden is light Suffering is joy when your heart is filled with love I walked this way with your sins upon my back My yoke is easy and my burden is light
Unless the grain of wheat falls to earth and dies It remains just a grain of wheat Take up your cross and follow after Me I am the Life that death cannot defeatTeksty umieszczone na naszej stronie są własnością wytwórni, wykonawców, osób mających do nich prawa.
