I close my eyes
Darkness now awaits
Still I concentrate on what’s ahead in my dreams
In the midst of them I fall
All decisions are simply up to me

I see the light rip apart the sky
As the earth splits beneath my feet
I start falling down

Down to the depths I fall
Gripped by fear
All I see is the darkness that surrounds me
I’m locked inside my own worst fantasy
Striving to hide I’m locked inside
In fear I scream
My cries aren’t heard
For life I plead
To the depths I look to be set free

As the stars pass beneath my wings
I start falling down possessed by dream
My darkest thoughts are now relieved
I prey
The tears begin to fill my eyes again

Then I see the light
Consumed by the dark of night
As the earth splits beneath my feet
I start falling down

My cries aren’t heard for life I plead
To the heavens I look to be set free
Drowning in deception
Approaching my destruction
Perceived a distant ground I now awake

First breath I take
Conscious now of life
As the sweat pours off me in heat
For I’m alive it was a dream
My darkest thoughts are now relieved
I prey the tears begin to fill my eyes again

You’ll never know the power of our minds
And never mislay dark thoughts should they arise
One final question what do our dreams disguise
How do they influence the patterns of our lives?
