The people went on with their lives
Reading books and watching movies
About the end of the world
Completely oblivious to the fact
That all life on this world
was soon to end
forever

For their demise was about to commence
And all their hopes
And all their dreams
Would be turned into blood and tears

And their faces contorted in horror
When they saw their children
Burn in the fires of their own annihilation
They would scream in terror
When they finally realized
That it was there
