Churning above us
How long til we drown and ascend to the stars

Everything became glass
Frozen in place, fear of destroying it all
Soon turned to an urge
A hunger, a need to shatter the worlds

As we shiver in flames
Relishing the scraping of life from this wreck
Exhausted souls reach feebly aloft
Where are your wings now
Your lives are wasted
And ours have just begun
