Cisterns stained in blood
(Chains on the wall! Bones on the floor!)
Cavern shrouds all light
(Total darkness filled with doom!)
Gloom begins to flood
(Of emptiness void of life!)
Rotting corpses lie
(Of death and blight endured fright!)
Diseases spread
(Vermin scamper eating flesh!)
In the pit of dread
(Murdered men spirits fly!)
No way back now!


The ruins begin to quake!
Swarm of bats fly away!
The cave begins to break!
As the beast makes it entranceway!

Pale monster with ivory claws
(Stalking prey!)
It's appearance causes fear
(An abberation!)
Flesh and gore drip from jaw
(Mysteriously vile!)
Attacks with subsonic screams!

The illusion lurks close!
Disguised itself in black!
Lunging at it's victim!
Barbed tail plunges through hero's chest!

The carnivore rips the flesh of what was slain
The hero was ill-equipped for this foe
Consumed it's meal the shadows conceal
And with this kill it thirsts for more power
As it invisibly guards it's lair
From any and all adventurers
