Once priceless,
A masterpiece
Now horror-ridden,
Sorrow-riven:
A masterpiece
Without a price
Now stained,

To begin with,
If we are worthless,
Then trivial is the Fall;
We would be
Trinkets broken –
To be tossed
Without a shrug

But we were Imago Dei,
Now defaced.
A masterpiece,
The very image of God.

To end with,
You will paint us worthy.
Once, with painful
Priceless blood.
