In the tendrils of the twilight they gathered and danced Singing their revelry to the spirits of the lands Hunters, wives and shaman laid offerings to rest Round the ancient stone face in their villages midst
Now no longer running but riding through the fields The blasting call of a carnyx prompts their enemies to yield Another cousin to be conquered, and carried in their wake Why resist when reality shows that empire is fate?
