He has heard tales from other seamen, listen eagerly as Captain Andon Shay calls for volunteers to join a great voyage of discovery aboard his ship, the Luminara. though this means leaving his young wife, Adrea, Criston feels the inexorable call of the sea. Adrea knows she cannot deny her husband this dream and promises she will stay strong and wait for him until he comes back from his long voyage.
