Back in her seaside village of Windcatch, Adrea tries to live her life without Criston, waiting for him to come home. He has been gone for months now, facing unknown dangers. To outside observers, Adrea’s daily routine appears to be the same. In her heart, though, life has fundamentally changed. She tries to do all the normal things, but even the simplest activities are different. While she remains home, Adrea feels that half of her is with Criston, far, far away.
I wake up each day, As I did before. I do the same things, And I do them some more. Seems like no one noticed the change in my life. It's the same . . . but different.
My mind is only halfway here, My heart is always halfway there, Because my other half is otherwhere. He's otherwhere. . . .
My clothes are the same. I haven't changed my hair. I go to work and I try to care. Why does no one notice the change in my life? It's the same . . . but different.
My mind is only halfway here, My heart is always halfway there, Because my other half is otherwhere. He's otherwhere. . . .
Every hope that I had Sailed with him that day, And till he's back at my side, I've tucked my dreams away.
I walk the same streets and I greet my friends. But my loneliness never seems to end. How could no one notice this change in my life? It's the same . . . but different.
My mind is only halfway here, My heart is always halfway there, Because my other half is otherwhere. He's otherwhere. . . .
It's so different. . . .
