Come down, luminary sun Come down into my arms Drowsy whispers the willow While haze softly veils the elder trees
Come down, heart-stirring sun Come down you are much too late The fawn lies asleep in its lair While your afterglow is wandering across the fields
Weeping willow's weeping Woeful are the tempers of night And my heart is still bleeding A poets muse that's out of sight
Come down, untiring sun Come down and take a rest with me Under the shelter of stars glowing softly In the depths of infinity
Countless flames shall rise to starlit heaven In remembrance of her beauty The silent cascade on midnight firmament Sparkles as once the tears of departure So I write down the rhymes of a bitter moon And lay between the lines the whispers of the woods As the cooling summer breeze, Strayed in darkened mist is cursed to announce winter It shall take away these words to you A midnight ride straight into your heart - to make you feel
