There is a vacuum where my chest should be.
I feel I should express this in a more poetic way
Referring to a 'heart' or 'soul'
But that would not adequately describe the raw,
Physical sensation present in my gut

The sudden absence of something brings existence into focus

The dry though that this feeling (or at least, my awareness of it)
Will one day come to pass

This single hope keeps me walking
On into the endless circle
The endless procession of life
I thought i had only ever dreamed of things so terrible.

My thoughts dance through empty fields
And every shade of grey - there is no colour in the world
Skeletal gates snap open in a colloquial action

Liquefied in tunnels of light
A spaceless flow,
Depths knows depth which no man can measure
Rummaging through forgotten tombs of casual memory
Locked away in fountains of clammy ebb
The sterile stillness will last for ever
