A veil of shame plunged my last years
into the common numbness,
colliding with the various spheres
of my mind in distress.
While the sun gathered all my forces,
the night became my mistress.
My march took me where the trees and mountains formed my last fortress.

The moonlight screams
since the sun already died.

falls like if it had nothing to hide.
Blurred is the land

Reaching the edge
the forest is now behind.
Leaning on a tree
there is no one, not a sign.
While my feet are sinking
in this unforgiving land.

A great ash tree is standing ahead,
solid and strong, its wood harder than lead.
Its branches are leafless
appearing to be dead.
As I walk under its shadow,
a scent of darkness, death and sorrow

places where I already hid
