As the shadow of Death appeared upon Him, In ten thousands of its dreaded form, He scorned their wrath, with a promise, grim That the castle walls would endure this storm. A hardened heart, in hatred swelled For all that was lost, and should have been won. Drew despair away, and thus compelled Wise allegiance to mortal fear … be dead and gone.
And the night was thus awoken With the clash of gleaming steel, Each heart strong, in a promise spoken, of a blessing that made all enemies kneel, And when the earth had drunk its thirsty fill, Of the blood of men and utter disgrace, A wronged Lord met upon his rightful kill, Who turned to stare upon Death's own pale face.
Artless goodwill, heartless grace, Saintly scorn disguised in guile; Deceit’s masque upon each face Hides daggers in every smile.
Though the eagle once high soar;d To the raven it has fall’d. Noble hearts shan’t defy more Deceit’s mind that conquest swore.
Yet, with prophecy blessed that he shan't fall To sword in hand of mortality born, Ethereal justice vent down upon His walls, Like a storm upon defiant scorn.Teksty umieszczone na naszej stronie są własnością wytwórni, wykonawców, osób mających do nich prawa.
