Dismay shatters the stained glass silence
Staring blankly upon the source of disillusion

Enrapturing the divine,
Eradicating hope adrift,

From a lost destiny to reclaim
We search the dark for light,
And follow in fading footprints
We endure the cold black abyss,
And find new light within it's depths

Embark upon this journey,
To be entrapped within a lie,
For the past is not as it seems,
The distant memories are never clear

Reflect the past - in crimson tears

Without need for redirection.
We shall repeat the cycle again
Beneath the fading light,
Perpetual flame to ignite

The dripping words,
Cast from forked tongues,
Ignite fiery lakes,
Within weakened hearts

The audience applauds,
A masterful performance,
But the night has just begun

We stab at the sky,

Soon you shall be with your Christ
