So now you know just how the horseman came to meet his end: I hear they found him by the road, his eyes plucked from his head. Some crows descended on his corpse, as off his stallion fled, And made a roomy nest out of the fool's own empty head.
The Dullahan rode his way on past mountain, dale, and farm, A grin upon the head he carried cradled 'neath his arm. He planned to spread his tales of gore there at Unseelie Court, But stayed to pick off mortals here and there, just for his sport.
So mind you well on moonless nights, to heed the words I say, You're welcome back, as long as you can pay!
