Staring at the heavens so divine
The moon casting a superstitious glow
illuminating the dark shadows of my wandering mind
spirit succumb to the embrace of the dream world within
At blinding speed I soar through light year of time.
Through interplanetary dimensions, the intergalactic folds of my mind
In this state of cerebral twilight
two beings of celestial origin beckon me in the night
Bathed in dark matter, with a halo of glowing stardust
their minds meld with mine and they ask for my trust
I stood at the edge of the universe
mingled in a cradle of star birth
Through spiral galaxies and chaotic black holes
all throbbing with the pulse of cosmic souls ,
Come now, this is where your journey ends
You're an enlightened spirit now
let your mind transcend
but I've never felt so free
It's not reality that entices me
imagination holds me at the seams
don't waken me from this dream!
My eyes open and I'm greeted
with the sting of reality
Once again, a prisoner of the flesh
I feel a sense of finality
But to this day, when I gaze upon
that cosmic dark blue
my spirit soars and I cherish
that vision of universal truth
