Heurodis:
Oh Lord hold me in your arms The sunlight dies And my torn skin’s bleeding Gather your knights For the cold hand of destiny brought Black omens of (impending) doom
Narrating Voice:
“Admiring enchanted the beauties of May The Queen and her Maidens, They went out to play And sat by the orchard, Surrounded by flowers of gold and birdsong”
Heurodis:
I fell asleep by a fair grafted tree And the weaver of dreams kissed my brow
Narrating Voice:
“Gentle damsels, dared not to set free Sweet Heurodis from that strange reverie So there she laid covered by the shade Of the tree – as the light slowly dimmed”
The Maidens:
Then she woke up and cried Her pain, oh, so great! Pale cheeks were furrowed By streamlets of blood
Orfeo:
My life, my love, what have they done to you?
Narrating Voice:
Valiant King, ruler over this land Fate’s dice was cast, and the time’s close at hand A moment in time when your crown shines no more Hush now and listen!
Heurodis:
I had been not long asleep under the grafted tree When two fair knights appeared and said to me “We will take you to the place where the Fairy King dwells!”
Oh I dared not, nor I did want to go So they spurred back and I was left alone But in the blink of an eye they anew came to me
One hundred came forth Their steeds white as snow And damsels, and Lords The Faery King’s court
Oh love, my love! In trance I gazed at them! And at the King’s command Upon a palfrey by his side They carried me on a magical ride
He showed me the treasures he owned A crown of mysterious stone His palace, and towers that rose Like jeweled fingers of gold
Than rivers, and forests we crossed And woods, and walls covered with moss And then at the end of the day He brought back me here, dazed but safe
“Beware of my message” he warned me “Tomorrow when noon strikes, here I’ll come for thee Do not care to challenge my powers so strong Or else I shall crush you, apart your limbs shall be torn!” Teksty umieszczone na naszej stronie są własnością wytwórni, wykonawców, osób mających do nich prawa. |
