Hot light killing wet. Moisture destroyed.
Carnage below, vultures descend
To pick flesh from bone.

Dull flushed red dusk. Twilight returns.
Moon is full, jaundiced and thick. Fading pale quick
Rising like a phoenix without clipped wings.
Dim, pale blue dawn. Reprise of all things.

Jagged rock, I'm panting mad, sensitive eyes.
Beast retreats, den of thieves is filling with lies.

Back to the cave. Moisture destroyed.
Out of the light, into the void.
