Some say I’m heartless, that all the things I say are thoughtless, they don’t know my process, or how often I obsess, staying up all night, trying to find the right words, that conveys what I mean In my verse, It’s worse when I’ve got other things on my mind. That replay time after time, rhyme after rhyme that has to be trashed, before it can be wrapped in plastic wrapping, with a graphic design, that’s right, I’m heartless.
I picture the world as I see it, then write it down, In my perspective I can hear it, and how it sounds. Crystal clear, from the underground to my ears, I don’t fear death, I fear life and how it feels about me tonight, form here to eternity, that’s how I deal with the members of society, Let me remember that, let me breath, so I don’t have to ask if I’m heartless.
Condemned to death before I’ve achieved my quest of leaving them breathless every time the stage is set, they say I’m a menace to the microphone, I’ll never sleep until we stand alone, I’m on my own in a world full of prejudicial thoughts, but I aint at a loss for worlds when I floss, they try to crucify us in the press, expressing their impression of my vision when we bring another lesson, class is in session, proliferating accusations about my person, they get knocked and shot back because I’m cursing, but as long as we’re here, we’re gonna keep ‘em annoyed, and give the voiceless a voice that they’ll all enjoy.
