On Noah`s Ways
And though we shed a thousand tears her heat was unrelenting
the sling was getting tighter
and though we prayed a thousand prayers her heart was fast distending
The fire was burning brighter
Our leadership had built a plan, consulted every nation
A verdict on mankind's desire
Built a council of authorities, final deliberation
Who is to escape this hellish fire?
So we remained outside these walls, the gates were fast descending
Our last hope was swallowed
And I screamed out loud into the sky, awake of our ending
We knew what would follow…
Their fleet was strong, ships filled the sky and fuel to flee from burning
To save the first of this empire
And we must fall, left here to die. The wheel of life is turning
There`s nothing left but to retire
Bridge I :
From her light we`re born - in her light we die, now the seed of life is fading
To the stars they go, to this ground we fall- into dust we are returning
And the poisened air exhausts me, only wasteland is remaining
In the ashes of a dying star, as a witness I`m here - bound to stay
Bridge II :
Flee from this inferno! sow the seeds of life wherever you may wander
So her wind is now melting the earth, her breath built from fire
And the rivers have gone long before, to find an early death is our desire
This poor world has now come to an end, drifting poisened and dying
The last trees have been scorched into dust, we try to save our breath, let`s now stop trying
We`ll live on in bodies of others who left us behind, they must save this legacy
- we are losing
and a few will reach for the stars while others must fall.
circling on endlessly - eternal now life is leaving this world, to start once again
we pray to god above, damned in this place – we must burn in hell
now the air transforms into fire, it´s burning my skin
every breath like salt in a wound
the stench of death embraces my soul
sow the seeds of life, like once before
wherever you may wander
your origin goes down in fire
and the wheel of life is turning on, a force that's never ending
the flame of life is seizing (grasping) higher
save our souls
