In the Orient there once was a city – Babylon
Founded in 3000BC, with fast growing strength
It survived several wars, many kings ruled in it's walls
A glorious place that was erupting with great power and might

They wanted to be equal to their gods
Marduk was one of them
They wanted to reach for the sky
To see the life of the gods
A tower would be made, an instrument for them to have a look into heaven
So it's written down, the tower is a fact something has to be true

Babylon, a legend that will never die

Years later they have reached a level around 300 feet
The gods did not approve of their people's deeds
They punished them and gave 'em different languages,
So they couldn't talk to each other
This was the consequence of being arrogant and proud
Maybe we can learn a lesson from it
