Shadows stain the earth And spread into night Rising smoke mingles with mist Occluding sickly skies. A yearning to become one with the fog To be as the dying stars The rotting leaves The carcass of the raven To conceal my bones amidst decayed roots.
A vaporous pall engulfs the lights behind Parting ahead to reveal a nebulous corridor To tranquility beneath boughs. Tranquility intertwined with nameless longing And inborn sorrow. The yearning to seek out this last bastion of vitality Only to find it slowly withering. But there is relief In leaving behind those estranged from life Distrusting and blind to its ailing majesty. Here, where solitude pulses with symbiotic being, Cry out in unison with lamenting winds and lashing rain. Brimming with wonderment Suffused with despondence That such beauty has become so scarce, so foreign. Wander beneath frigid stars Ancient sentinels They’ve witnessed this decline They know our shame Gates to their secrets forever sealed And all that remains is the sorrow of unknown loss A vile contagion Spreading collective hypomnesia Has infected our hearts I commit my flesh to the earth My blood to the rivers My bones to the mountains And obscure my spirit in the moon-illumed mist Anamnestic rites
Invoking a time before this unfathomable sundering Before we knew more than this preternatural anguish I drift within the wailing of stone gifted voice by the wind Amidst falling leaves Groaning trees Driving rain And omnipresent fog That which was lost is almost tangible But eternally buried By ancestral repression.Teksty umieszczone na naszej stronie są własnością wytwórni, wykonawców, osób mających do nich prawa.
