Open my door and run outside, what a bright and cheery day
It's a beautiful day in May and there are flowers blooming
They're so beautiful, I'm gonna pick a bouquet
Maybe I'll find some wallpaper to match them
Then I'll bring them inside and find a vase and put them
on the table Yep, Its a bright and cheery day
Gosh, it's so beautiful out,
maybe I'll go downtown and get my hair done, and get a manicure,
and maybe buy a bright , nice dress for me to wear.
I'll get my nails done.
Maybe later I'll go down and get a book of poetry,
go sit by a lake in the park and read some sonnets,
or maybe I'll just sit at home and watch my favorite soap opera.
I love the stories of love and
tragedy. Maybe I'll go to the music store and see if they
have my harp ready yet and I'll go outside under a tree
and I'll strum my harp and play dainty little melodies on it
