A / Atreus / As I Walked Alone Under A Moonlit Sky
The night envelopes me As the moon casts its light upon the earth I am lost in my thoughts Wandering outside of town My feet take me to unfamiliar places Away from the safety of home Too late do I realize my folly A dreadful sight awaits me
People gathered in their masses Around a demonic altar Chanting in a language Foreign to my ears Hooded men, in warrior garb Drag a female onto the altar Her protests are in vain A dagger plunged into her heart
I am witness To a ritual slaughter I bear witness To an unholy ceremony
My loneliness is replaced by fear As I try not to make a sound A morbid silence descends Upon the entire valley
I live to tell this story As there was no more sacrifice that night I slipped back into the forest Into the shadows from whence I came Once I felt I was out of earshot I ran as fast as I could To tell the villagers Of what I saw
I am witness To a ritual slaughter I bear witness To an unholy ceremony Teksty umieszczone na naszej stronie są własnością wytwórni, wykonawców, osób mających do nich prawa. |
