I will utter dark sayings of old
Things that we have heard and known
When man man did follow
Dark clouds and fiery light

Woe worth the hour that of womb I came
Long I declare “accursed be my name

O how my path leads me on
Through affliction and grief

I say to the mountains “cover me”, to the hills “fall on I”
For sick and wretched I walk, now to myself I must die
Now great lament be harken and regret standeth strong
For with radiant darkness such depravity had shone

Fast bound in chains I lay
Death brooded darkly o'er me

Tormented night and day
I came forth in iniquity;
Deep and deeper still I fell,
Life had become a living hell

So firmly evil possessed me
You dragged my flesh before searing light
Black screams of loathing are on my tongue
This sickness eats away at my core
As I cleave to this life, it has been taken away

Blind leading blind
To be swallowed by endless pit
To feed the earth with little worth
Forever under skies moonlit

Escape did I from fate so wretched
From great doom I am protected
Immortality is one with me
Engraved in stone for eternity

Death has been swallowed up in victory
