From the Depths


Before I go whence
I shall not return
to the land of darkness
and the shadow of death

A land of darkness
as darkness itself
of the shadow of death
where light is darkness.

The tempest comes out from its chamber
the cold from driving winds surrounds

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want

He giveth me peace of mind
though i was once blind

He restoreth my soul
leading me on paths to righteousness
for his name's sake

YHVH

though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil
for thou art with me
everywhere

Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies
thou anointest my head with oil
my cup runneth over

surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house of God for ever.
