In ancient times, the province of Ausphaal had remained unknown to men for centuries. Until one day a knight came to tread upon that virgin land. His name was Valdor. He settled on Raven mountains but hiws descendance was later to open the way to Larnoch valley and discover a magnificent place. As a tribute to their great ancestor, they called it Valdor's plain. A mighty dynasty was then to reign over those lands for several decades until Elrig, fifteenth king of that long line came to the throne. Blinded by his lust for power, he was to despoil his people and make them miserable. Rebelling against the tyrant,his son Hadrian was jailed but managed to elude his father's traps.
