Related with the mother Tiamat
Each of their descendants became better
Ea was the strongest of their blood

After silent ages the first war inflamed
Between the children and the elder gods

They disturbed Apsû's tranquility
He resolved to end the heavy rampage
And finally stop their mad activity

And so he called the mortal sentence

But the father Apsû didn't care

When the gods heard this lore
They resisted no more
But only Ea waged the war

Ea put Apsû to slumber as he poured out sleep,
He bound Apsû and killed him;
After Ea had achieved victory,
He founded his living-quarters within Apsû
And Ea and his wife sat in splendour.
And in the chamber of destinies Marduk was born…
